Actively Sharing Our Faith With Others Help Us To Grow In Christ
Christians are the seeds planted on earth to bear the name of Christ Jesus. We are captivated by His Love, Surrendered to His Spirit as we manifest the Bible, Christ’s Love and Obedience in our lives.
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ”.
Our passion and purpose is from God, and His Word burns like consecrated fire in our souls. The power of God seizes us in holy worship, reverence and awe…so much that God’s Work overflows to many. In this overflow, we open our mouths to share “The Faith” we received, and we declare the wonders God has done! We share our faith as light-bearers for Christ because Jesus is in us, and it is Jesus continuing His Work…
But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
So that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
When we are “IN CHRIST”, we receive a deep conviction to share our Faith because of Christ’s Love in our heart. We are praying in the Spirit, learning how to fully trust, believe and walk with God; learning to hate our sins and sincerely repent; growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Savior; and growing in reverence and love for God. If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Jesus replied: “‘Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. “
One of the main Work of God is the abundance of His fruits in us, so His Word can multiply into many hearts. We realize this abundant life clearer when we share our faith with others.
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
In sharing your faith you will encounter questions from others that will expand your knowledge, learn how to interact with people from all walks of life, learn how to be a better listener, grow in compassion and deeper love, and acquire various practical opportunities to live out what you learned from God. As the Scriptures say: “It is more blessed to give than receive” – Acts 20:35
It is more blessed to give than receive, because by giving more, we receive more. Imagine a bucket filled with the water of life, filling up and overflowing; and as it brims over… more is added. That’s how God works with our faith. Having a heart to share God’s riches, the Gospel and our Faith in Jesus is a natural way to keep growing and growing and growing. It’s similar to having a treasure that reaps “appreciates” more value as it is shared. In other words, we understand at a deeper level, and with solid conviction – the value of who we are IN CHRIST, because God reveals more to us.
In a worldly sense, people may hold onto their treasures because they want it only for themselves, or they think what they have is not enough to share. However, in Christ we get to keep His spiritual treasure, and also get to share it. We become more and more like Jesus, and have a natural instinct to share Christ with others. While we share freely the gifts God has given us, He richly blesses us with more. Consider “The Parable of the Talents”: Matthew 25:14-30… notice these “talents” are gifts given by the master. The master in this parable is God; and God says in v 29: “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
When we sow more we grow more abundantly.
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
For this reason I pray that you, me – we all – will be active in sharing our faith to have full understanding of what we have in Christ, because when we do we’ll see God working in our lives: giving us clarity on His way of thinking, and helping us address issues in our life, the way we should. We share in Jesus’ wisdom, and know that what we share with others are not from us, but from God. This keeps us grateful to God, humbled before Him, and will teach us how to give ourselves to Him more and more. We decrease, and He will increase. We die to ourselves, and He lives and manifest in us abundantly. In Christ – it is no longer “you” or “me” – it is “Christ in you” and “Christ in me”.
Christ in us is our true self…the way God fashioned His Children to be. In Christ we are Inside of Christ. Outside of Christ we are weak, but inside of Christ we are strong. Be aware of who you are “In Christ”, re-define and accept your new identity, the new person the Scriptures say you are.
We must not only believe and accept our new identity, we must also learn to persevere, and overcome the obstacles that will infiltrate our firm walk with God. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
The Body of Christ – The Church
The Body of Christ exist to build each other up in encouragement and faith through God’s Word. When we learn from Jesus, His Spirit of Love leads us to share the Word of God to one another. See some “One Another” Scriptures: SOME ‘ONE ANOTHER’ SCRIPTURES – GodsOvercomers
We also spread this same love, and encouragement to others “neighbors” and people who we do not know, but who God will lead us to because He is reaching out to them. First, we learn how to love God sincerely, and are motivated to obey truthfully, and God fills us with His Love so we have sincere/pure love for others and love each other deeply from the heart – a love that makes us give our heart and lives to others.
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.
We live to confirm we are living in Christ; and we live to help people who God is calling.
Imagine if immediately after God saves us…He just swoops us up to heaven? Naw, if you are still alive (breathing) – God has a plan for you. He is interested to have us grow in Christ, understand what we have in Christ, and we experience this understanding quicker when we share what we are given in Christ. God wants us to help our brothers and sisters of Christ; and He also wants us to help others who will become part of our family.
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our LORD Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus..
Only, live your life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that, whether I come and see you or am absent and hear about you, I will know that you are standing firm in one spirit, striving side by side with one mind for the faith of the gospel.
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the LORD’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
Test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The New Testament (NT) is filled with letters to the Churches; and these letters were later added to the Old Testament (OT): Books of Moses, The Prophets, and The Books of the Writings, to become what we now call the Bible. The NT also has the teachings of Jesus, not only in the Gospels, but from the Book of Acts to the Book of Revelation. Notice that the New Testament Books and Letters are addressing the Church – teachings on the Kingdom of God, instructions on worship, and how they ought to conduct themselves, and matters concerning salvation, holiness, sin and God’s judgment, etc. Together with the OT Books, we have the compilation of all we need to know to be saved and to keep growing. We see clearly the transition from the Old Covenant to its fulfilment IN CHRIST in the New Covenant; and we learn to grasp the new life “IN CHRIST”.
Share Your Faith – Helping Fellow Believers
While we read the Bible, pray and increase our faith, and grow in Christ, God is empowering us to be motivated to edify and help each other, because…
- We love each other as our own body, knowing we are ONE in Christ. – (1 Corinthians 12:12-27, John 13:34-35, Matthew 12:50, 1 John 3:14, 1 John 4:11, Ephesians 4:15-16)
- We know the Bible teaches we can learn from each other; but what we learn most of all from each other is the example of a faithful life. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.
And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire…”
But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Share Your Faith – Helping Others Who God Is Calling
While we grow In Christ, we serve God through spreading His Word, The Gospel of Christ and following in Jesus’ footsteps by continuing God’s work planted in us.
- We fulfil God’s expectation for us to be “Fishers of humans” – (Mark 1:17) )
- We fulfil God’s expectation for us to be “Sowers in His field” – (John 4:35-36, Luke 10:2)
- We fulfil God’s expectation for us to be “Ministers of Reconciliation/Christ’s Ambassadors” – (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
- We fulfil God’s expectation for us to be “Priests” – (1 Peter 2:9, 1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 5:10, Revelation 1:5-6)
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same LORD is LORD of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile..
The grace of our LORD was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
Beautiful words stir my heart. I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.
Sing to the LORD; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods
For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!
for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
“I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God.
“If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”.
“Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.
Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. 16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.
Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the LORD made the heavens! Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary. O nations of the world, recognize the LORD; recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong.
Sharing Our Faith Is Taking From What God Gives Us, So We Give To Others
Our Heavenly Father is filled with His attributes, nature and character that befits His Holy position as God over all, The Almighty God. When we are “IN CHRIST”, Christ is in us, and we are filled with Christ’s nature, character and attributes.
Let’s look at some Scriptures to see God, and what He gives; and you’ll see that what we are given is “ALL FROM GOD”. And we share freely what God has given us freely.
“I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
“for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James, To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Gracious and merciful is the LORD, slow to become angry, and overflowing with gracious love.
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
“I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people will be satisfied with My goodness,” declares the Lord.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
For though your people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, A remnant of them will return; The destruction decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away
“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”
You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.
You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit….”.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Tear your hearts, not your garments; and turn back to the LORD your God. For he is gracious and compassionate, slow to become angry, overflowing in gracious love, and grieves about this evil.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
So he prayed to the LORD, “LORD, isn’t this what I said while I was still in my home country? That’s why I fled previously to Tarshish, because I knew you’re a compassionate God, slow to anger, overflowing with gracious love, and reluctant to send trouble.
So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
For if, through one man, death ruled because of that man’s offense, how much more will those who receive such overflowing grace and the gift of righteousness rule in life because of one man, Jesus the Messiah!
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
You prepare before me a table in the presence of my oppressors. You anoint my head with oil; my cup is overflowing.
How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees.
Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
To keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our LORD Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time-God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and LORD of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.
So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many acts of thanksgiving to God.
And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
“Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the LORD Almighty. “Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.'”
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
